Choosing the right size shade sail starts with measuring your space correctly to ensure proper fit and performance. 

Measuring your area

Measure the area you want to cover with shade, not just the sail size. 

Shade sails require proper tension for best results, so avoid matching your fixing points exactly to the sail dimensions. 

Allow approximately 10–15% extra space between the sail and fixing points for hardware and correct tensioning. 

Lay the sail out before installing to check positioning and coverage.

  • Hose down regularly to remove dirt, debris and salt build-up. 
  • Maintain proper tension to prevent sagging and ensure optimal performance in wind and weather. 
  • Avoid contact with sharp edges during installation and use to prevent fabric damage. 
  • Check fixings periodically to ensure all attachment points remain secure under tension. 
  • Allow to dry fully before any temporary removal or storage.

This product carries a 2-year limited warranty, covering UV degradation of the fabric under normal outdoor use and when correctly installed and tensioned.  

The warranty applies to the original purchaser and is subject to proper installation, use and ongoing maintenance in line with product guidelines.
