Both the Extreme and Standard ranges of Kalahari Shade Sails are designed for permanent installations and offer up to 90% UV block using breathable, UV-stabilised fabric that is resistant to fading, mould and mildew.

Extreme Shade Sails use heavier 285 GSM fabric, wider webbing and reinforced stitching, making these better suited to harsher conditions such as strong wind and intense sun.

Standard Shade Sails use 185 GSM fabric and are ideal for patios, gardens and everyday outdoor use.

Easy Shade Sails are lighter, more portable, and provide up to 80% UV block, making them better suited to portable or flexible setups.

All Kalahari Shade Sails include stainless steel D-rings for secure tensioning and durability.

Triangle Shade Sails are well suited to smaller or irregular spaces and are often used to create layered or angled shade designs. Square and rectangle Shade Sails provide more consistent coverage and are better suited to patios, seating areas, car ports and larger outdoor spaces where full shade is required.

Choosing the right size shade sail starts with measuring the area you want to shade, not just the sail itself. Allow for a gap of around 10–15% between the sail and your fixing points to accommodate hardware and proper tensioning, as shade sails stretch slightly when installed. Laying the sail out beforehand can help you visualise the positioning before installation.

Umbrellas and Easy Shade Sails offer more flexible, movable shade and are better suited to smaller spaces, balconies, or areas where the position of shade may need to change throughout the day.
Market umbrellas use a centre pole and are ideal for patios, tables and smaller seating areas. Cantilever umbrellas have a side-mounted pole, allowing the canopy to extend over the space without obstruction, making them better suited to larger seating areas or where more flexible shade positioning is needed.
