The Kalahari Extreme rectangle shade sail is designed for long-lasting coverage in permanent outdoor installations. Built for extreme weather conditions, this heavy-duty shade sail delivers both breathability and high UV protection, with a shape ideal for covering longer areas such as patios, driveways, walkways and outdoor seating spaces. 

Please note: Our shade sails are sold as the sail only. Hardware and mounting poles are not included. Hardware is available separately in our store. For mounting solutions, we recommend consulting a professional installer or considering a DIY installation.

Choosing the right size shade sail starts with measuring your space correctly. 

Measuring your area

  • Measure the area you want to cover with shade, not just the sail size 
  • Shade sails stretch when tensioned, so don’t match your fixing points exactly to the sail dimensions. 
  • Leave about 10–15% extra space between the sail and fixing points for hardware and proper tensioning 
  • Lay the sail out first to check positioning before installing

  • Hose down regularly with clean water to remove dirt, debris and salt build-up. 
  • Maintain proper tension to prevent sagging and ensure optimal performance in wind and weather. 
  • Avoid contact with sharp edges during installation and use to prevent fabric damage. 
  • Check fixings periodically to ensure all attachment points remain secure under tension. 
  • Allow to dry fully before any temporary removal or storage. 

This product carries a 5-year limited warranty, covering UV degradation of the fabric under normal outdoor use and when correctly installed and tensioned.  

The warranty applies to the original purchaser and is subject to proper installation, use and ongoing maintenance in line with product guidelines.
